Soroyalty

Jackie.
23.
A Virginia girl, obsessed with all things found below the Mason-Dixon line.

Like the woman for whom it was named, the Lilly isn’t a strategy of reverse snobbery; it’s completely down to earth, unsnob. As one Lillyphile says, ‘Jackie Kennedy and her maid wore Lillys.’

Anonymous asked: Where is the lacy wedding dress with bow on the back from?

Eeek! I am so sorry, but I have absolutely no idea. The best advice I have is to message whoever originally posted the picture and ask him/her. Hopefully whoever posted it first will be able to fill you in on where the picture and/or dress is from!
Best of luck, anon! xoxo

Anonymous asked: What do you suggest doing for my Big and G-Big? They are both graduating this year and I have been recently initiated into my sorority. I already have a paddle that I've made for my Big, but I haven't given it to her yet. I just don't know what to do for them to show them how much I appreciate, love, and will miss them.

Oh gosh… You can do anything really! Just making an effort will make anything you get them such an amazing gift. You are so sweet to think of your big & grand big!!
Personally, I would recommend getting them both a set of personalized stationary (or sorority-themed stationary) so you can start writing letters back and forth after they graduate. Your relationship will have to change a little when they aren’t around all the time, and I think letters are an amazing way to keep in touch. Plus, they will loveee getting mail from you when they’re off in big girl world. I’ve seen other sorority girls who are constantly in communication with their big & g-bigs via handwritten letters & I think it’s so sweet. Maybe that’s just the Southern in me…
This is also one of the last opportunities for you all to be together on campus, so feel free to take full advantage of the power of anything matching. Maybe get them their last pair of matching sorority letters, or something similar. If you buy enough of the same fabric, you can save it & make it your new family fabric for new additions to your line. They can still connected to the family.
You could also plan on doing family pictures on campus. It doesn’t have to be a huge deal, just set aside some time & get a sister with a nice camera to come take pictures of your family line. They can hang up the pictures wherever they end up after graduation & it’ll be a great way to spend the day with them too!
I hope that helps a bit, love! Feel free to message me again on or off-anon if you need any more help!!
