I can only answer for the Greek experience that I had at my university. I was not hazed in any way. Don’t believe it if you want, lots of people don’t. As a new member I was given presents, taken out to eat, and basically spoiled rotten. We didn’t even do scavenger hunts or anything that could be misconstrued as hazing. I think that our national organization, our individual chapter, and our university take hazing very seriously. I imagine your pledge experience would depend on your organization & your Greek environment on campus. I honestly think that Greek life is an incredible experience & you should consider it!
